Internship Program Information

Cattle Empire, LLC offers internships at its facilities in Satanta and Sublette, Kansas. The internship program is designed to provide students and recent graduates with an opportunity to learn about feed yards and the supporting areas of agriculture.

Internship Positions Available

Internship opportunities are available in several areas of the company. The Internship Opportunities bulletin lists the specific internships available at Cattle Empire. The bulletin may be viewed on Cattle Empire’s website (HERE), or picked up from the lobby of our headquarters building between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Eligibility

A candidate must be a graduate student; an undergraduate student; or have graduated from college within 6 months of beginning the internship.

General Information

Interns are expected to work between 40 and 50 hours a week during a 10 to 12 week internship period. Internships are offered during the Summer semesters as of now. Interns may receive academic credit if an agreement is made between the Cattle Empire Communications Department and the intern’s college or university. All interns are subject to the applicable Cattle Empire’s employee rules, including its Employment Handbook and Privacy Policy.

Candidates must submit a cover letter and resume. Some internship positions require additional application items, such as a writing sample. All application items must be submitted as a complete package. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.

For the 2017 Summer program, applications are due by November 15, 2016.
