2018 Cattle Empire Scholarship Program Winners

Cattle Empire, LLC would like to congratulate the winners of its 2018 scholarship program on this outstanding achievement. Cattle Empire will award $1,000 scholarships to the following students from across Southwest Kansas: Kaden Anthony of Satanta studying Agricultural Business at Garden City Community College; RaeAnne Blevins of Satanta studying Animal Science and Pre-Veterinary Medicine at Garden City Community College; Walker Clawson of Meade studying Agricultural Economics and Animal Science at Kansas State University; Emily Headrick of Kismet studying Animal Science at Kansas State University; and Justin Morrison of Cimarron studying Feed Science/Management and Animal Science at Kansas State University.

Applicants submitted a 1,000-word essay conveying interest and knowledge of a relevant agricultural topic. They had to exhibit strong leadership skills and work ethic and must be actively involved in service to their communities.

In addition to this year’s scholarship program winners, Cattle Empire is awarding an additional scholarship for excellence in the Satanta FFA work-study program. Miles Purcell of Satanta will be awarded the Cattle Empire Outstanding Work Study Scholarship in the amount of $500 for his efforts this spring in advancing his skills in maintenance and welding with the Cattle Empire team. Purcell will be attending Garden City Community College to study Welding Technology.
